Kraftklub is a German band that formed in 2010 in Chemnitz. The band consists of five members: lead vocalist and guitarist Frederik Koester, bassist Maximilian Mauff, drummer Stefan Schmidt, and guitarists and backing vocalists Felix Brummer and Karl-Friedrich Meinecke. The band’s name is a play on the German word for “crab”, and their logo is a crab claw.

Kraftklub’s music has been described as a mix of indie rock, punk, and hip-hop. The band has cited the Pixies, Nirvana, and the Beastie Boys as influences.
